Backstage news on how many matches Brock Lesnar will have through Universal Title reign

According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, while WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is currently scheduled to defend his title at the Great Balls Of Fire pay-per-view (PPV) in July, but has no dates confirmed after that. Great Balls Of Fire is set to go down from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on July 9th.

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor made their cases as to why they should challenge Lesnar next last night (Mon. May 1, 2017) on Monday Night RAW, and it’s expected that each of them will get that opportunity before Wrestlemania 34, but ‘The Beast’ is currently expected to face Braun Strowman at Great Balls Of Fire.

It should be noted that Lesnar only worked two matches before losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 31, after having won the title at SummerSlam back in 2014. Meltzer noted that Lesnar is expected to work a lot more than his 2014 run as champ.
