Buddy Murphy has been receiving high praise since his match with Roman Reigns on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, however, according to a latest report; his involvement in the storyline was unintentional.
Per Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, the former 205 Live star was originally not expected to be part of the Roman Reigns mystery attacker angle.
He unintentionally got involved in the storyline during the first attack when he was caught in the camera and pictures of him from the footage went viral on the internet.
Seeing the response on the internet, WWE officials decided to go with the flow and built the storyline that Murphy knew who attacked the former World Champion.
Though the name revealed by Murphy turned out to be false and Daniel Bryan and Rowan have promised to reveal the real culprit of the attacks on next week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
