After Finn Balor lost the NXT Title to Samoa Joe at Thursday’s live event, there has been a lot of speculation about Balor’s future in NXT and the possibility of him being called up to the main roster soon. Bryan Alvarez mentioned on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live that Balor may stay in NXT for the next month or so.
WWE has been planning for Balor to lose the title to Joe for some time and Alvarez speculated that the rematch between Balor and Joe for the NXT Title would take place at the next NXT Takeover event, which is June 8th.
“Don’t look so much at what happened on this Lowell, MA house show, but when they tape TV next week,” Alvarez said. “That’s when you should be paying attention because a lot of questions will be answered at those TV tapings.”
WWE holds the next set of NXT TV tapings next Thursday from Full Sail University.
