Backstage news on how WWE is handling coronavirus concerns

We noted before how Tony Khan held a meeting at Dynamite last week where he told people that they can choose to stay home for next week’s episode of the show if they have coronavirus concerns and it won’t affect their position in the company.

Now it appears that WWE is doing the same as John Pollock of PostWrestling.com is reporting that at SmackDown, the officials told people they can leave the show if they wanted, without any repercussions:

“Multiple people at the WWE Performance Center on Friday spoke with us stating the message conveyed was that anyone that was uncomfortable could leave without any repercussions.”

On a related note, Mike Johnson of PWinsider reports that the company has told employees that they can work from home if they have the capability to do so:

“PWInsider.com has been told by numerous WWE sources that the company sent out an email to all employees today advising them that if they have the capability to do so, they should be working remotely from home if they can for the foreseeable future in order to help combat the coronavirus outbreak.”
