Backstage news on live attendance of SummerSlam

While WWE has been struggling to sell tickets for their other PPV events recently, it wasn’t the case with the SummerSlam PPV and the event was legitimately sold out according to new report.

According to a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the SummerSlam PPV from  Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, had an estimate live attendance of 13,500 fans.

The event was headlined by Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar match for the Universal Championship and WWE had announced an attendance of 16,904 fans.

As far as the traditional PPV buys go, it was noted that the early estimates on the 2019 SummerSlam PPV show the event drawing  19,600 buys.

This was a number which was on massive decline as last year’s PPV had been estimated to have gotten 29,900 traditional pay-per-view buys.
