Backstage news on Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair at Survivor Series

The Survivor Series match between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey was one of best matches of the night. However, it didn’t saw a clean finish and the match ended in a disqualification after Charlotte attacked Rousey with a kendo stick.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about this bout and revealed some details on the idea behind this production.

According to him, the match was designed to get Charlotte over again and start getting her the same level of reaction both Ronda and Becky have been getting in the recent times.

The reaction for Flair had cooled down a bit during her feud with Lynch. On a related note, it’s believed that the key officials are not worried about the negative reaction Ronda got during the ending minutes of this match.

WWE’s future plans for these three is not confirmed yet, but it’s speculated that we could see a follow up between Ronda and Charlotte at Royal Rumble and then a triple threat involving Becky Lynch at WrestleMania
