Backstage news on the King Of The Ring tournament

We noted before how WWE announced the return of the King Of The Ring tournament for next week’s episode of Raw but the company hadn’t revealed a lot of details on their plans for the same.

 


 

Now a new report from Wrestling Observer has provided more details on the 16 men tournament and revealed how the company plans to execute the whole thing.

According to Dave Meltzer, the tournament will begin with opening-round matches on next week’s episode of Raw and then it will continue on both Raw and SmackDown Live in the following weeks.

All the league round matches will take place in weekly shows of the company but the finals of the tournament will take place at the upcoming Clash Of Champions PPV.

The tournament will feature stars from both Raw and SmackDown Live and the company should reveal the brackets for it soon.

The names expected to compete in it include Baron Corbin, Cesaro, Cedric Alexander, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, The Miz, Ali, Andrade, Apollo Crews, Buddy Murphy, Chad Gable, WWE 24/7 Champion Elias, Kevin Owens, and Shelton Benjamin.
