Backstage note on Bayley and Otis being added to Survivor Series teams of SmackDown

Both Otis and Bayley were last-minute additions to their respective Survivor Series teams from SmackDown’s side and Adam Pearce announced their inclusion in a promo.

Dave Meltzer talked about this on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and he revealed that the announcements were made this way because the officials thought they didn’t have time on the show to do qualifying matches for both the stars.

Meltzer discussed how it’s a contradiction to the company’s storyline where Pearce had told Braun Strowman that he couldn’t just be added to the Survivor Series team and he had to earn his spot in Raw’s team.

The Monster Among Men then competed in a Triple Threat match against both Sheamus and Keith Lee and he won the bout to qualify for the PPV.

The Raw team then went on to dominate the competitors from SmackDown during the Survivor Series PPV. You can check out the complete results of the show at this link.
