Backstage update on Baron Corbin’s push, future title picture plans

As we previously reported, the WWE is very high on Baron Corbin at the moment and he’s even being more coveted than Braun Strowman who’s over on Monday Night RAW.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason that Corbin wasn’t put up against WWE Champion Randy Orton at the Backlash pay-per-view (PPV) next month is because they want to hold off on putting him in the title hunt until later this year. In the meantime they needed someone else to fill the void, thus enter Jinder Mahal.

The current plan is to make Corbin the top heel of SmackDown Live which could include a change to his music and promos soon.
