Backstage Update on Christian’s WWE Status and Retirement

– As noted earlier, it was mentioned on last night’s WWE RAW by Jerry Lawler that Christian is retired.

This was not an error by Lawler. Due to Christian’s string of injuries and concussions, he’s now considered “retired” as an in-ring performer by the company.

Christian has about a year left on his current WWE contract.

Agreed. The whole hand off to Orton then left to drift off pissed me off the most. I loved when he was in TNA and was hoping WWE would actually see he had the talent to continue that back in WWE.

  • Kristopher Robinson

He’s been thrown away for years. He was basically given the WHC and then was there to basically give it to Orton and then never recovered past that. He’s a waste because he was never used to his potential outside of TNA.

  • Kristopher Robinson

True, but the guy could have done so much more in singles then what he did.

  • d_pooch

I wouldn’t call it a “waste.” The guy has to be 40 years old, and at least they’re still using him where they can. It’s not like they just threw him away…

  • frank the tank

    great talent?? lmao!

  • The Killswitch

Agreed, however focusing on the positive, it’s not like the guy had a short career by any means.

Such a waste of such a great talent….
