Backstage Update on Hell In A Cell Finish for Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte

According to a report from F4WOnline, the original finish for the main event between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair for the RAW Women’s title at last night’s (October 30, 2016) Hell In  A Cell pay-per-view (PPV) was for Banks to go over in her hometown of Boston, MA.

Dave Meltzer reported that Vince McMahon changed his mind on the finish for unknown reasons, but it was noted that the decision played a factor in wanting to begin a Charlotte vs. Bayley program sooner than expected.

I think Vince also gets a kick out of people losing in their hometown, seems to happen a lot lately, when it was announced it would happen in Banks’ hometown in the back of my head I thought this was the most likely finish.

Oh okay, sure whatever you say WWEMRPEEP. Send us a note of what you think of the show tonight because we know you are watching. If you were that pissed you would have changed your screen name by now.

Actually I’m not gonna watch so you’re wrong I’m done with wwe. I am so sick of charlotte

  • Khosrow

Well, love it or hate it, last nights finish got an emotional and strong reaction out of all of you, which makes the match a success. They didn’t give you the logical finish, the one we all wanted but they gave you one that is making you watch tonight to find out what will happen next to Sasha. They accomplished what they wanted to do by not giving you what you wanted.

Vince is a control freak who think he’s God. His version of giving in, is a middle finger and his version of just giving in general, is a middle finger. It’s sad. It’s so hard to believe that being the number one company in the world is such a joke. The real wrestling fans tune into NXT which is professional wrestling, Raw and Smackdown is for “Sports Entertainment”. It’s gotten to the point when anybody gets called up, I’m disappointed because NXT gives you their highest potential and Vince just kills it on arrival. Other than Owens and Balor who has really been given a chance to do anything real special? They killed Corbin’s momentum as well as Zayn’s, Neville’s. The long list of disappointment of them failing their superstars can go on forever. Triple H is the future of the company, I just hope we don’t have to wait much longer for him to get it. The women’s division has been a success for the most part, who can we thank for that?

I am so sick of charlotte ugh this is fuckin stupid Sasha deserved a longer title reign. Why would Vince do that to her again ugh I hate Vince.

Sasha gets a rematch but this match needs a stipulation. Hair vs title… no more rematches. If Sasha wins she is the new WWE Womans champs and moves on, if Charlotte wins she gets to put a punctuation match on the series of matches with Sasha by cutting off Sasha’s hair and then moves on. To set up the next show down with Bayley: Dana Brooks comes down while Charlotte is cutting Sasha’s hair and brings an electric razor. Sasha tries to escape but gets taken out by Dana. Charlotte says Sasha hair is so bad I think I’ll just shave it alloff, she turns the razor on but Bayley hits the ring and saves Sasha from being shaved.

You might be on to something there. We’ve read reports about Triple H and Vince disagreeing with even having this match as the main event. NXT is an example of quality booking under the guidance of Triple H, so it’s no suprise to me that the fans are scratching their heads when decisions like these are made under Vince’s watch, and his son in law is doing his best to point the ship in the other direction.

Hate to agree with you but you’re one hundred percent correct. Nobody gets over on Vince. I wonder how Triple H feels on the finish or if he’s just happy they got to close out the show.

Sasha thinks that women’s wrestling is, should be, and can be equal to men’s wrestling, yet she doesn’t even understand the rules to the game and she got played.

“It was so frustrating for me to see amazing women in WWE do what the guys would do, and then the next week they would be in a ‘bra and panties’ match. Growing up, that wasn’t what I wanted to do. I watched a lot of Japanese women’s wrestling, so I knew what women could do in the ring. I knew we could be just like the guys.We say things like ‘women’s wrestling’ and ‘women’s revolution.’ I hope one day it’s not ‘a good women’s match.’ I don’t want the women’s wrestling part. I just want to be equal to my partners. Why can’t we be treated equal?. I think once we get a women’s main event at a pay-per-view and you drop ‘women’s wrestling,’ that will prove we are on the same level. A couple of years ago we were seen as the popcorn match or the bathroom break for the fans, and that’s not the case anymore. I want to be the main event at WrestleMania. I feel if that’s not in my lifetime, I know that I’m helping build the foundation for the next generation of women to do that.”

It doesn’t work for the men, and it ain’t gonna work for the women either. There is the “equality” you wanted. Welcome TO the men’s world of wrestling young lady.

    Screw you Vince
