Backstage update on planned match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan

It appears that WWE has finally decided on a date for the much-anticipated match between the current Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan.

According to reports from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has decided to hold off this feud for now and pencilled the Royal Rumble PPV for this bout.

WWE had teased this match before Survivor Series and at one point it appeared that we’ll see the match at the TLC PPV but later reports suggested that the officials are planning to hold off the feud for a later date.

As far as the TLC PPV goes, Kevin Owens faced Jey Uso in a match on the latest SmackDown and it appears that he will be challenging Reigns for his title at the upcoming PPV.

On the other hand, Daniel Bryan lost a match to the IC Champion Sami Zayn via a count-out on the show and it will be interesting to see what his road to this title match will look like.
