WWE had to cancel the WrestleMania PPV and move it to the Performance Center and since then, there have been speculations about the status of the SummerSlam PPV as well.
WrestleVotes twitter account recently provided some update on the show and revealed what the company may be planning for the event in case it can’t be run as scheduled.
The account with a history of accurate WWE backstage updates, notes that the city of Boston has made it clear that the show is not likely to take place as scheduled even though WWE wants things to remain as they are.
In response to this update, the company is actively hunting for new destinations for the PPV where they can have fans in attendance, which means Florida and Georgia are two of the most likely spots.
Another interesting update on the situation is that while the PPV usually takes place in August, the company could possibly push it back to September:

It has been rumored that the 2020 Hall Of Fame ceremony can take place during the SummerSlam weekend but there have been no update on the same and we’ll keep you posted on the matter.
