It has come to light that during the 2016 presidential inauguration, former President Donald Trump’s son Barron Trump was seen engaging in a playful game of peek-a-boo with Ivanka’s son, Theodore, while his father Donald was busy filling out paperwork.
The scene unfolded with Ivanka holding her son and standing behind the former President in the White House, while Melania Trump stood next to her son Barron.
However, the innocent act of playfulness didn’t sit well with some social media users who criticized the then-10-year-old Barron.
One user on X expressed their discomfort by saying: “This still makes me cringe. It’s demeaning and embarrassing to me and I had nothing to do with it.”
Another chimed in with: “This isn’t cute. He’s old enough to know better.” A third person commented on Melania’s reaction, stating: “His mother looks mortified.”
Though he received criticism, many found the moment sweet, describing it as “cute” and expressing their love for it.
Barron, who is now 18 was reportedly multilingual from a young age, speaking three languages, according to his mother Melania. As a child, he even had a Slovenian accent, which was noted in a video when he was four years old.
Responding to CNN’s Larry King’s comment about his accent, Melania said: “He does have one. He spends most of the time with me. He speaks three languages actually.”
Barron, the former US President’s youngest son, is set to decide his academic future soon. The lad has had a notable growth spurt recently, now conspicuously towering over his dad.
