Former President Donald Trump’s youngest child, Barron Trump, began his college life at New York University on Wednesday. The 18-year-old was seen arriving on the Manhattan campus with Secret Service agents by his side. He carried a black Swiss Gear backpack and wore a white polo shirt, black pants, and Adidas Gazelle sneakers.
Barron’s first stop was the dean’s office before he proceeded to his classes. Although it’s not clear if NYU will implement additional security measures for students this year, Barron’s presence was notable due to the Secret Service detail accompanying him.
He is expected to live off-campus and commute from his family’s Trump Tower residence in Midtown. Barron will be studying at NYU’s Stern School of Business. Donald Trump mentioned that they considered other schools, including Wharton, but ultimately chose Stern.
Barron’s choice of university had been kept private until now. Donald Trump revealed last month that his son would be attending a New York-based university, but did not disclose which one. Barron graduated from the prestigious Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, in May.
Donald Trump has also noted that Barron is a strong student with an interest in politics, sometimes offering him advice.
