Batista and Brock Lesnar will likely not come to AEW anytime soon, and Dave Meltzer has revealed that any offer Tony Khan makes to Brock Lesnar will be topped by Vince McMahon and WWE, as Brock takes his offers to Vince. Steve Austin AEW Revolution rumors were detailed yesterday.
He also said there had been Batista and AEW discussions, “I don’t think that it’s Dave Bautista, but I do know they’ve discussed it.”
He also said it is not former NWA champion and WWE Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock, “I’ve seen people mention Ken Shamrock. I know Ken Shamrock is scheduled for an autograph show today in New York, so you know he could always cancel at the last minute, but it’s probably not Ken Shamrock.”
Cody Rhodes revealed if AEW have signed Brock Lesnar yesterday. Eric Bischoff praised Cody on It’s Our House Podcast as being similar to John Cena.
“I think when you talk about somebody who has the potential to transcend the business, that means to become a bigger star, or at least a star outside of the wrestling business as inside of the wrestling business. That’s how John Cena became a big star because everywhere you looked, including WWE, but outside of WWE, you would see John Cena. He became that.
“WWE was preaching outside of the choir. And they connected with people that they weren’t connected with just on the wrestling show by using John Cena because he had that potential and ability to transcend the business in that regard. I think Cody Rhodes has the same potential.”
