Batista ‘Replaced’ At WrestleMania Backlash

Former WWE Champion and WWE Hall of Famer, did make a return of sorts during tonight’s WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view event. However, if you were expecting ‘The Animal’ to play a part during the Damien Priest Vs. The Miz Lumberjack match – he did, but not the way you would expect. Instead of making his way into the match, he sent out an army of undead lumberjacks! This, of course – being a nod to his new movie, ‘Army of the Dead’. Batista recently ‘disrespected’ this top wrestling star.

Earlier in the day, Batista sent out this ominous tweet: “‘Wishing good luck to all the WWE superstars competing tonight at #WM Backlash. Sorry I couldn’t make it… but some of my friends will.'”.

This came to fruition as it was revealed that an army of lumberjack zombies would ‘replace’ the traditional lumberjacks in the match that was ultimately won by Damien Priest. During the match, both former WWE Champion, The Miz and former ECW Champion, John Morrision were ‘eaten’ by the army of undead.

In other news regarding Batista, WWE great, Randy Orton recently told Kurt Angle on ‘The Kurt Angle Show’ that superstars like Batista and John Cena used WWE as a way to catapult themselves to Hollywood stardom. Credit to TalkSPORT for the below.

“The way Cena did it, the way Batista did it is they used WWE as a jumping board to go into Hollywood. I’m happy with my place in the WWE right now. The money’s good, the talents good, the locker room is great. I have a good relationship with all the people in charge and I don’t see why I’d change that.” Will Batista ultimately return to WWE?
