Batista Reportedly Receiving WrestleMania 35 and AEW Offers

The professional wrestling market has certainly shaken up since the addition of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to the mix. Now, however, AEW has its eyes on a former WWE World Champion. Its been reported for the past several months WWE would like to bring Batista back in for a WrestleMania 35 match.

Pro Wrestling Sheet confirms as much in a recent report. However, it looks like things are getting very interesting, as AEW is now bidding for Batista’s services. The report notes that Batista is currently in talks to lock down a deal to compete at WrestleMania this April from East Rutherford, New Jersey. Nothing is set in stone as of this writing.

It’s also being said that, based on how talks are going, there’s a “50/50” shot Batista returns to WWE. Ryan Satin adds that AEW has expressed interest in the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ star, and “The Animal” isn’t turning them away. It remains to be seen whether or not AEW has a legitimate shot at landing the future Hall Of Famer, but given the promotion is funded by the billionaire Khan family, finances shouldn’t be an issue.

Batista vs. Triple H

Batista’s last WWE appearance came in October for the SmackDown 1000 special episode. During the Evolution reunion segment, WWE teased a future match between Triple H and Batista. That bout was put in doubt after Triple H suffered an injury during his match at Crown Jewel. However, “The Game” was recently cleared to resume training.

Where do you think Batista will end up when it’s all said and done?

I could see him doing both…. Appear at WM and then show up at Double or Nothing. More cash for Batista! Better for AEW as well!

  • StoneColdBeckyLynch

Errr, he feels disrespected with how HHH just kind of snubbed him for wanting to come back for years. That loyalty is likely running very thin.

  • The Random Reader

I don’t know if Dave Batista is going to AEW, i mean, much like Undertaker, he is very loyal to WWE

  • oppa

He’ll do both. HGH really wants the match, but AEW will treat him like a bigger star long term.

  • Sam

I think the obvious choice for him is AEW where the money is. AEW are set to announce a huge TV deal apparently and with more huge stars signing with AEW it’s all gotta mean something I guess.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

Another Pipe Dream Batista will either wrestle in WWE for 1 last match but that is it. He won’t go to a place that he knows nothing about.

With his movie career being his priority these days, would he really be interested in going to AEW? An unproven entity? And to be honest, why would it need to be one or the other? If it is just a WM payday (and maybe a few shows either side), surely the most common sense on his part would be to do the WM deal then after that is over, go to AEW.

Lets face it, he can pretty much get almost whatever deal he wants in WWE, and has never shown enough interest in wrestling to want to wrestle anywhere else, so I cannot see that AEW would be anything more than a quick pay day rather than any kind of long term deal anyway.

Vince is probably throwing a gasket

  • StoneColdBeckyLynch

Idk what is more exciting. Bautista in AEW or Vince’s reaction to it
