The WWE recently posted a video in order to promote Batista – The Animal Unleashed, showing behind the scenes footage from Batista’s Royal Rumble 2014 return, and Batista talking about his WWE return:
“The biggest reason for me to come back is just that I’ve always wanted to be undisputed heavyweight champ,” Batista said. “After I became heavyweight champ multiple times, [it’s like] where do I go from here, there’s not many places I can go being at the top. I could take that next step up and just be undisputed heavyweight champ. That was the only place to go, and it’s been my goal for years and years.
“I reached out, talked to a couple people and this was kind of the kickoff match, where it all starts, the Royal Rumble.”
