This week’s edition of WWE Smackdown was one to remember as it was the special ‘Throwback’ edition of the blue brand. During the show, former WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley did a retrospective on former female champions from era’s past. Bayley would showcase former female superstars such as Alundra Blaze and Jacqueline and how they would fail to compare to WWE’s resident ‘Role Model’ who held the WWE Smackdown Women’s Title for 380 days straight. In other news regarding Bayley, while Deonna Purrazzo is one of the top stars currently in Impact Wrestling, she was at one time in WWE and NXT, also performing in the WWE Mae Young Classic. She was ultimately let go from her WWE contract in 2020. She would reveal how Bayley would reach out to her after her WWE release in an interview with TalkSport.com.
