Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE had to change quite a few plans. This especially affected WrestleMania. Bayley desired to have a very special entrance for WrestleMania, but due to the pandemic, there were no crowds to perform in front of.
Bayley recently spoke to Table Talk podcast, where she revealed plans for WrestleMania that never came to fruition. She is a big Paramore fan and wanted them to perform while she made her way to the ring. She even asked Hayley Williams regarding it, but it could not happen.
“To be honest, I have mentioned it to the WWE music producer and we talked about it for last year but this was like in the beginning — or no, I guess it would’ve been this year. The beginning of this year,” Bayley said. “So before the pandemic, before we knew that WrestleMania was gonna be in front of nobody and we were actually trying to figure out how to get that going and how to make it work. Like we were having phone calls about it, and then all this happened and we couldn’t do it. So, we’ll see. I’m never gonna stop trying because that’s a dream moment for me and a dream WrestleMania moment for me so Hayley Williams, let’s do it, come on.”
Bayley was even given permission by Williams to use the song Simmer for WrestleMania, while on Instagram live. Perhaps she will have her wish next year if the COVID-19 situation improves.
