Former WWE Smackdown and RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has not been seen on WWE programming since announcing her pregnancy back a year ago and giving up her WWE Raw Women’s Championship to Askua. However, ‘The Man’ might finally be back to grace us with her presence. PWInsider is confirming that Lynch has been at the WWE Performance Center earlier this week, which was described as being ‘part of the process’ for Lynch’s return after the birth of her daughter, Roux. This Becky Lynch WWE ‘retirement’ rumor recently leaked.
In addition, Fightful has not only confirmed PWInsider’s report but has pin-pointed the date of her training session to this past Thursday with the outlet also stating that people at the Performance Center have claimed that Lynch looks ‘jacked’ and that it’s ‘like she never left’. However, the outlet states that Lynch did not do any actual training, with the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion there to take in some live matches at the performance center instead. Many hope Becky will help make a ‘major change’ to WWE creative.
Over on the Squared Circle subreddit, fans and members of the WWE universe reacted to this development. One Reddit user by the name of Hummer77xfulla questioned: “Why would they have Becky at the performance center, a building that constantly has leaks coming out of it, for a return they likely want to keep secret when she has ample access to wrestling rings at home she could use to prepare instead.” While TheBrianJToo said: “Becky is in a good position because she could either retire on top like a star, OR come back and instantly be a top name because leaving while on top made her even more mythical.”
