Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Lita recently formed a tag-team despite having a rivalry in the past. They are now set to challenge IYO SKY and Dakota Kai for the WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championships on the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW.
Taking to Instagram, Becky Lynch showered praise on Lita for being a trailblazer in the wrestling business. Naturally, The Man had a lot to say about Lita. She posted pictures of themselves during a recent WWE photoshoot and her caption read:
“I remember being mesmerized the first time I saw @machetegirl on tv. She was cool, she was spunky and she was different . As a young woman she showed me that you could break the mold to succeed. You didn’t need to be cookie cutter. It was better if you weren’t.”
“As a performer I’ve been able to take what she’s done and build upon it so we can keep changing the game.I could not be more proud to fight side by side on Monday. We’ve done a lot of very great things individually- but taking those tag titles and walking into WrestleMania as champions together, well, that will be pretty damn epic.”
It has been noted that the current storyline in WWE shows that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler would potentially challenge IYO SKY and Dakota Kai for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39. It seems that the plans could change on the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW with Becky Lynch and Lita challenging for the titles. The titles could change hands on the show.
