Becky Lynch: WWE Evolution can be held again without Ronda Rousey

WWE Evolution was an all-women’s pay-per-view event that was held last October. The headliner of the show was Ronda Rousey, who defended the Raw Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella.

The show was met with a positive response and as of now WWE has not really said if we are in for a second all-women’s event in the future.

Reports earlier had indicated that WWE are hesitant to hold another Evolution event without someone like Rousey, but there’s someone who thinks they can take her place.

Becky Lynch, while speaking to talkSPORT, said that there is no reason for WWE not to run Evolution with the current female roster.

“Oh, absolutely! First and foremost, it was one of the best pay-per-views of the year. And that’s not me being biased, that’s a fact. It had Match of the Year on it, including yours truly.
Absolutely, I don’t see any reason why not. I think we have a strong enough women’s division [without Rousey], as long as they tell the stories around us and let us go. And… that’s all I’ll say.”

Lynch defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing match at Evolution. The event took place on October 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Uniondale, New York.
