According to reports, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have encountered a new problem in their marriage, which is related to Lopez’s upcoming projects. Sources have revealed that Affleck is allegedly concerned that JLo’s new film, “This is Me…Now” could negatively impact his career. Apparently, this fear has not subsided.
“There is a very real risk that this film will not get the reaction she’s expecting. Ben’s been complaining to friends this could end up being Gigli 2.0,” they said. “It will be especially embarrassing for him considering the career that he’s built up and how seriously he takes his projects. [He’s] scared he’s made a big mistake getting involved.”
This is their second collaboration, and after the negative reception of their previous work “Gigli”, Affleck became anxious about the reception of their new project. This reportedly caused problems in their marriage. The 65-minute musical was released on February 16, 2024, and has received mixed reviews. While The Wall Street Journal dubbed it “the worst movie of the century”, Rotten Tomatoes shows a more positive picture with a 74% reviewer Tomatometer rating.
