WWE SmackDown star Big E recently endured a career-threatening neck injury on this week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. He was certainly gearing up for the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 38 premium live event. The former WWE Champion was involved in a tag team match alongside Kofi Kingston against Sheamus and Ridge Holland. There was a spot during the match where Holland tossed Big E at ringside with a belly-to-belly suplex, but he dropped him on his head causing the awful injury. The medical team immediately attended Big E while New Day member Kingston finished the match. Ridge Holland visited Big E in the hospital.

WWE are likely to nix a match at WrestleMania 38
Fightful Select recently reported that WWE renamed Pete Dunne as Butch as they were planning to book a six-man tag team match between The New Day and the team of Sheamus, Butch & Ridge Holland at WrestleMania 38. But with E suffering the injury the match is likely to be scraped off the card. It is not known whether WWE will change it to a normal tag bout or just nix the match completely. WrestleMania 38 will take place on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
