We noted before how John Cena returned to in ring action during the recent Madison Square Garden show yesterday night and he wrestled Baron Corbin at the event.
From here, Cena is expected to be part of a number of wrestling events and he is even announced to be returning to WWE TV during SmackDown Live next week.
All this makes many believe that the Cenation Leader will also be a part of the upcoming Royal Rumble event but latest reports reveal a possible reason why he might not be at the show after all.
According to reports, Cena is scheduled to start filming another movie from January 20th and due to this, it’s most likely that he won’t be part of any in-ring action once he starts this project.
So while not confirmed, it looks like the 16-time world champion will not be part of the first WWE PPV of 2019 this year and he will most likely only make a few appearances for the company before another long hiatus.
