Big Show Huge Rumored AEW Match Revealed

The professional wrestling world has been abuzz with the news that Paul Wight, formerly known as The Big Show has now officially joined All Elite Wrestling as a commentator for AEW’s soon to be launched show entitled AEW Dark: Elevation. However, the former world champion has also been signed as a brand ambassador and a licensed wrestler who will most likely step inside of a AEW ring sooner rather than later. Big Show recently quit WWE after this ‘disrespect’ by Randy Orton.

In fact, the AEW roster has already reacted to Wight’s signing, with a potential early opponent candidate appearing to be Lance Archer. Archer responded to the shocking news by tweeting out ‘I’ll Fight Ya’ in a recent tweet. Could we see Archer Vs. Paul Wight in the future? It certainly would be a match of epic proportions. Current AEW star Matt Hardy tweeted in regards to the acquisition as well – although he posted a more innocent tweet with a picture of the two of them during their younger years as members of the rival WWE.

AEW president and head of creative Tony Khan reacted to the news of Wight’s signing by commenting on what his roles in the company will entail moving forward.

“Paul Wight is one of the most recognizable and impressive professional athletes in the world,” said Khan. “He wanted to come to AEW because he believes that we’re the best promotion in wrestling, and we believe that he has a lot to offer us, both in the ring as a wrestler, and also outside the ring as a commentator, host and ambassador for AEW.” Big Show revealed not too long ago he hid money from WCW when he accidentally received a massive check
