WWE has not announced a lot of names for the Women’s Royal Rumble this Sunday, leaving the possibility for a lot of surprise entrants at the show.
Now latest reports from PWInsider has revealed some of the surprises the company has planned for the female edition of the Battle Royal tonight.
According to the site, both the former WWE Women’s Champion Molly Holly and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix are expected to be entering the Rumble match.
There have been a lot of talks of some NXT superstars joining the Rumble matches this year and per the report, both Shayna Baszler and Mercedes Martinez are currently scheduled to be a part of the bout.
Former Women’s Champion Sasha Banks has not been announced for the bout either but she is also expected to enter the Royal Rumble tonight.
As we noted before, Nia Jax, Ruby Riott and Naomi all who are out of action due to injuries will be backstage and while not confirmed, they are likely to be making their return on the PPV as well.
On a related note, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka both are not expected to compete in the Battle Royal on Sunday. They will be facing each other in a singles match on the show.
