Bobby Lashley talks about Paul Heyman’s role to play in his pairing with MVP

Bobby Lashley has found a new mouthpiece in MVP and the pair is dominating the Monday Nights as of late. Before this, Lashley had Lana in his corner and even before that, he had Lio Rush as his manager.

While appearing on D-Von Duddley’s Table Talk, Lashley revealed that Paul Heyman was the man who came up with the idea of pairing him with MVP. Lashley has confidence in his current run with MVP and believes it will work out much better because of their real-life friendship.

Paul Heyman came over to me. He was like, ‘what do you think about MVP?’ I was like, ‘it’s a no-brainer. Yeah, I would like to work with MVP. I’ve worked with him in the past. What are we gonna do?’ He said, ‘I don’t know, but I think it’ll be good.’

Every week after that, people kept coming up to me saying something, but I didn’t know what it was gonna be. I was for it. Like I said, me and him are really good friends and whatever we do is more natural, which is contradicting to anything we did before. I think right now, it’s working really well, and I think it’s gonna be so much better.

WWE seems to be heading towards building up a faction consisting of MVP, Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and quite possibly Apollo Crews. It will be interesting to see where WWE goes with this storyline in the coming weeks.
