We’re only a little over two months away from WrestleMania 36, and the majority of the card is undetermined at the moment. For now, we know who the Royal Rumble winners will be facing. Outside of that, everything is up in the air.
With John Cena set to return to SmackDown this Friday, it’s assumed that we’ll see him compete on The Grandest Stage of Them All. It’s been reported that the plan, at the moment, is to have the 16-time World Champion battle Elias. However, nothing is set in stone, and Booker T feels he has a better opponent for him.
On The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker stated that Roman Reigns was the best option to battle Cena.
You know, man. I’m not gonna sit here and try to put a match together. Roman Reigns being the guy now, John Cena being the guy that has put in so much time. The greatest WWE Champion in the [company’s] history.
To put those guys together for one last hoorah? I know John Cena can pull it off. I know Roman Reigns can pull it off. I know that’s a match going into it, on paper, a lot of people would go “Man, I don’t know if I wanna see this.” But I know, also, both of those guys are Shakespearean.
