Booker T might want one more match: “I never said I was retired”

While Booker T’s on-screen role has diminished since leaving the announce desk earlier this year, the former World Champion says that he’s still in tremendous shape and might be able to make a run in his promotion Reality of Wrestling. Even WrestleMania is a possibility if all the right questions are answered.

On a recent episode of his podcast Heated Conversations, Booker said that he was contemplating getting back into the ring.

I’ve never said I was retired. Harlem Heat’s retired, but as far as me, I’ve never said I was retired. I never said I was never gonna put the boots on ever again.

People ask me, ‘Man, are we gonna see one more match?’ I always say never say never. I feel good. My body is at as peak performance as it’s gonna get.

Booker went on to say that if the call came from the WWE for one more run, it’s something he’d have to think about.

I wanna know what people think about me getting back in the ring at Reality of Wrestling. Not WrestleMania or anything. For that…it would be something I’d really have to think about.

I don’t know if I could do it [at that level] again. Is the scissor kick going to be as violent? Can he still hop as far as the jumping side kick goes? Does he have one more Harlem Hangover left in his body?
