Booker T talks about Matt Hardy’s AEW deal

Matt Hardy parted ways with WWE and signed with AEW. He has much more creative freedom in the company and that is what he wanted. Booker T certainly approves of Hardy’s decision.

On his Hall Of Fame radio show, Booker T discussed Matt Hardy’s decision to sign with AEW. He said Hardy will be working fewer dates and making more money as well. On top of that, he will be getting more creative freedom, so it is certainly a great deal.

“Matt Hardy said it was a huge decision to make, but he thought it was the right decision. Less days, more money, less stress. That sounds good to me.”

“Matt Hardy is not a young guy, he is in the twilight years of his career.”

“To finish it the way you want to finish it, and it don’t hurt to get some good paper for it as well, and the time off? I don’t think Matt Hardy could have been one of those part timers and made the salary he wanted or make the impact he wanted to make. I say it definitely was the right thing for Matt Hardy to do.”

With just two appearances in AEW Dynamite so far, Hardy has already made an impact. He recently had a confrontation with Chris Jericho, which was a hit with fans. It will be interesting to see what else Hardy does during his time with the company.
