Braun Strowman Beats Roman Reigns In Smackdown Rating

The WWE Smackdown ratings on FOX and in YouTube segments are in, with a show featuring the return of Braun Strowman.

Strowman’s return during the 10-man tag match has 733,000 views, higher than anything else on the show. Roman Reigns’ segment with Kevin Owens only has 289,000 views.

In the Nielsen ratings, the show drew an average of 2.228 million viewers, slightly down from the 2.282 million viewers on FOX last week.

The first hour drew 2.294 million viewers, with the second hour drawing 2.161 million viewers. The 18-49 rating was 0.60 rating, #2 for the night and even with last week.

Roman Reigns recently responded to The Undertaker calling today’s WWE product ‘soft’ in a new Sports Illustrated Media Podcast interview.

“It’s strange. I really feel like he misspoke. Because Mark is a really good guy. He’s very knowledgable. Obviously, he has a ton of respect for the business. Goldberg is just Goldberg. Who cares?”

He also defended wrestlers playing video games, “I’d rather my guys be playing video games than breaking into a bag of some sort.” He added that the current roster is “smarter.”

“I think it was just like a retired guy trying to sound gangster,” Roman then stated about Undertaker’s thoughts on the current generation.
