As suggested by various reports, Braun Strowman was going to square off against Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WWE TLC this month. He suffered a knee injury and had to be written off WWE television, but it seems he will not be missing too much time.
On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said that Strowman is not expected to have surgery currently. He is undergoing rehabilitation for his knee and there is hope he will be returning sooner rather than later.
“The story, as noted, is that Braun was scheduled to face Drew McIntyre at TLC but he got the leg injury and he is rehabbing it. I didn’t hear anything about surgery, just that they are rehabbing it. Presumably, he won’t be out that long but I guess we’ll see.”
He was written off television by being ‘indefinitely suspended’ after attacking Adam Pearce. Perhaps he could suddenly make his return on RAW, which is likely owing to his suspension.
Currently, there is no return timetable for Strowman.
