Braun Strowman ‘Wasn’t Fired’ For Budget Cuts?

The former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman was among the few stars who go released from the company what looked like the budget cuts.

Why was Braun Strowman actually released?

Dave Scherer of PWInsider during a Q&A session was recently asked about the recent release by WWE. He was questioned if he believes that the release was due to budget cuts.

He went on to share his thoughts on the cut. He noted that it was WWE’s decision to release the talents due to the budget cuts but the question is that if they actually needed to release them for the overall financial health. Nikki Bella Speaks Out On John Cena Bombshell

He added that there was something more than the budget cuts when he specifically spoke about The Monster Among Men.

Dave Scherer said:

“Do I believe it? Sure, it’s up to the company to decide what they want to spend so if they cut salaries and they call it a budget cut, it’s true, at least technically. The question to me is did the people need to be cut for the overall financial health of the company. In that case, it all depends on what the company’s goal is. The other question is, for example, why was Braun Strowman released and not someone else making a similar salary? There is more to the situation than just budget cuts.”

Strowman had recently main evented WrestleMania Backlash against Drew McIntyre and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. We will see where Strowman ends up performing next.
