Bray Wyatt possibly returning to WWE created a buzz. Wyatt reportedly had a flight booked for a WWE return at Clash At The Castle. It turns out his return to the squared circle has been delayed. Meanwhile, fans were frenzied after last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Ronda Rousey had also opened up on the rumors. Former WWE writer, Freddie Prinze Jr. had previously revealed how he has plans on opening his own wrestling promotion one day soon and he has made it known that he would surely have interest in Bray Wyatt being a part of it.
Bray Wyatt was offered a contract
On the latest Wrestling with Freddie podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr was asked if he can give an update on the wrestling promotion he is working on getting started:
“I’m still moving forward. I have a finished draft, a finished script. I have two producers that are both interested in wanting to partner up with me on this. I don’t have a TV deal in place, but I have, very close to that. It’s weird sharing dreams for two reasons. One, once you release the energy, it’s out there and it’s no longer within you, so then you have to kind of find a new way to challenge yourself. Secondly, I hate announcing a deal before there’s ink on paper, because until there’s ink on paper, your script is nothing. Your federation is nothing. It’s just an idea. I have a script in place that people have been incredibly receptive to. I am working on filling out a roster. I have a female in place that a lot of people know and love.
He added:
“Yeah, I can say that. Everybody knows that I love Bray and it was basically reported that I was the one that made the offer, and sure, I’ll confirm that. I’ve put out an offer there and I think it’s a creative offer. Financially I wouldn’t be able to compete with the WWE, but I’ve put other things in there that I think are important to Bray. I don’t think I’m going to get it as the weeks go on, but we’ll see. You never know, and if I don’t, then I’ll shift gears again like I did the last time. It’s a speed bump in the road and I will find the next person and rework the story to make it work for that, but whoever my main guy is, that’s who this is going to revolve around in the wrestling half of things.”
WWE had seemingly teased Bray Wyatt’s return. However, it seemed that the rumor has been snubbed by WWE star Karrion Kross. Billi Bhatti on Keepin it 100 reported that Wyatt joining the company is a matter of time and he has 40-50 dates in his contract with Wyatt earning a whopping 3 million dollars a year. However, as per the latest reports, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has snubbed the return rumors of Wyatt.
Several fans on Twitter have noted that WWE has now released White Rabbit merch amid rumors of Wyatt potentially returning to the company, meaning if it’s Wyatt, he’ll get a cut. During the September 16th episode of SmackDown, arena speakers played the iconic 1967 psychedelic rock song “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane. Red lights were flashed and the crowd turned on their phones’ flashlights – similar to how it was done during Wyatt’s entrances.
