‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt has not been on WWE programming since the April 12th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw – freshly being defeated by Randy Orton at WWE WrestleMania 37 the night prior. With this, fans and members of the WWE universe have been questioning where Wyatt has been and how come he hasn’t been wrestling in a WWE ring? Is Bray Wyatt ‘not returning’ to WWE?
In an attempt to answer this, Steve Carrier of Ringside News recently asked about the status of Bray Wyatt where he was told Wyatt’s absence is due to a ‘medical’ issue.
The editor and owner of Ringside News stated via Twitter: “Rumors floating around about Bray Wyatt. One story making the rounds is that he is off WWE television for “personal” reasons. We have been told that his absence is noted as “medical” and not personal. He is still advertised for the Aug 9th RAW in Orlando as well. Stay tuned.”
In other news regarding Bray Wyatt – in a recent interview conducted by Bill Apter, wrestling legend and uncle to Bray Wyatt, Barry Windham discussed the way his nephew is being used in WWE currently. Credit to SEScoops for the following quotes.
Bray Wyatt ‘broke character’ before WWE SmackDown “I hope he makes the cut in WWE, we’ll just have to see,” Windham said when asked about Bray Wyatt. He has been (a great performer), he just hasn’t been used properly there.”
However, Windham did state that he has not seen many of Wyatt’s matches as the Fiend in WWE but has viewed the vignettes he has done as the character. The wrestling legend continued:
“You know I haven’t really seen any of his matches, I’ve just seen a few of the little vignettes that he’s done. He was always ready to be a wrestler growing up.”
