Vince McMahon has been WWE Chairman since 1982 when he bought WWE from his father Vince Sr and his partners. McMahon saw quite a few changes in his company over the last few decades on top of that. All through that, the WWE Chairman continued to adapt to the changing times.
However, many fans now feel that he is out of touch and simply has no idea what is good for a WWE Superstar and their growth. The WWE Chairman is larger than life in many ways and he also has his own oddities and problems as well. He also threatened a WWE star in a recent gym video. Vince McMahon has been accused of an affair.
Vince McMahon has stepped down as CEO of WWE while the investigation is ongoing. His daughter, Stephanie McMahon, has since been moved into his position on an interim basis. McMahon is still in charge of creative for the company.
Rita Chatterton came forward in 1992 to accuse McMahon of sexually assaulting her in 1986 but no charges were given. As revealed by a new article from the New York Intelligencer, ex WWE star Mario Mancini corroborated Chatterton’s allegations.
“I remember it like it was yesterday, she was a wreck. She was shaking. She was crying.
He’s dug himself such a deep hole that I’m just tired of it. I can’t do it anymore.
“I’ll tell you why I’m hopping on the bandwagon now. There’s worse stuff than that.”
The article also included Chatterton’s own comments about Vince McMahon’s latest scandal regarding the hush money and the paralegal in WWE.
“He’s not gonna pay for what he did to me,” she says. But she’s glad the hush-money allegations are coming to light. “Now this girl’s come forward,” Chatterton says of the paralegal whose friend sent the initial emails to the WWE board, “and I’m sure others will come forward. Because we’re not the only two. There’s not a doubt in my mind about that.”
Chatterton pauses and thinks for a second. She chuckles a little.
