Brian Kendrick injured by Hideo Itami

On the Christmas edition of Monday Night Raw, Hideo Itami gave Brian Kendrick a few gifts; a broken nose and orbital bone. Itami took on the former Cruiserweight champion last night and made quick work of him, hitting Kendrick with a brutal GTS to pick up the win. However, after the match, the camera caught a quick shot of Kendrick rolling out of the ring, whose eye had almost swollen shut.

It seemed the ending of the match was slightly botched, as Kendrick continued to hold his face after he got out of the ring. WWE posted a video on Twitter to announce Kendrick’s injury.

There’s no telling how long the man with the plan will be out of action. Austin Aries suffered a similar injury after a match with Shinsuke Nakamura, and was kept out of action for five months, so it could be a while before Kendrick finds his way back to 205 Live.
