Brian “Axe Murderer” Stann, who is making more of a name recently in the UFC middleweight class, has now called out Wanderlei Silva following his impressive knockout win over Chris Leben at UFC 125. Normally most may expect Silva to accept any fight, however that’s not the case when it comes to a match up with Stann according to UFC President Dana White who said Friday during the Q&A session at UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2:
“We were actually trying to hook [Silva] up with Brian Stann. He doesn’t want to fight Brian Stann. He’s like, ‘F*ck that. Everybody is going to hate me if I fight Brian Stann. Everybody loves Brian Stann.’ But that’s the fight we’re trying to make right now,”

Silva is coming off an injury to his knee, but he is ready to fight again according to White.
