Brock Lesnar defending Universal Championship before Royal Rumble

WWE has announced that Brock Lesnar will be defending his WWE Championship at a WWE Live Event on January 27th at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, MD against Kane.

He will be putting his Championship on the line at the Royal Rumble PPV next night in a Triple Threat match against both Braun Strowman and Kane as well.

The original main event for the show was supposed to be the Shield facing Samoa Joe and The Bar but WWE was forced to change plans due to Dean Ambrose’s recent injury.

This injury has affected other matches on the card as well, as Roman Reigns will now be defending his Intercontinental Championship against Samoa Joe.

Ambrose’s other partner Seth Rollins will also be defending his newly won Tag Team Championships with Jason Jordan against the team of Sheamus and Cesaro.

As noted before, WWE has announced that Dean Ambrose will stay out of action for about 9 months but many believe that this is a work and the Lunatic Fringe will be back sooner than announced.
