Vince McMahon has been WWE Chairman since 1982 when he bought WWE from his father Vince Sr and his partners. McMahon saw quite a few changes in his company over the last few decades on top of that. All through that, the WWE Chairman continued to adapt to the changing times.
However, many fans now feel that he is out of touch and simply has no idea what is good for a WWE Superstar and their growth. The WWE Chairman is larger than life in many ways and he also has his own oddities and problems as well. He also threatened a WWE star in a recent gym video. Vince McMahon has been accused of an affair.
Vince McMahon has stepped down as CEO of WWE while the investigation is ongoing. His daughter, Stephanie McMahon, has since been moved into his position on an interim basis. McMahon is still in charge of creative for the company.
While speaking to Sportskeeda, Gerald Brisco recalled Brock Lesnar meeting Vince McMahon for the first time.
“All of a sudden, he just dead stopped in his tracks, turns, walks over, grabs Brock’s hand, shakes his hand, and says, ‘I’m Vince McMahon.’ He turns to Brock. And Brock has one of the greatest answers I’ve heard one of these kids say that’s just coming out of college.
Vince said, ‘Young man, congratulations on winning your National Championship. Are you ready for showbiz?’ And Brock Lesnar looks him right in the eye and says, ‘I’ve been ready all my life for showbiz.’ Boom. What an answer to give the boss.”
