Brock Lesnar Had Permanently Quit WWE

Brock Lesnar’s WWE career has been a monstrous one, making him a lot of money in the process. However, during WrestleMania 36, Lesnar lost the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre in a show with no fans present due to COVID-19 restrictions, and then went home. According to Paul Heyman in an interview with Faction 919, Lesnar was “done” with WWE after that match at the WWE Performance Center.

“Nobody approached me on that. Brock Lesnar’s contract was up in April or May (…) 2020. After the match with Drew McIntyre in that WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar went home to Saskatchewan. He was done in WWE, he wasn’t coming back. My calendar was open, and so was Roman Reigns.”

Lesnar has a match against Omos slated for WrestleMania 39 but is reportedly telling people backstage that he will be finishing up with the company soon. Drew McIntyre is also in line for a possible IC Title match at WrestleMania.

Whether Lesnar and McIntyre will meet in the ring again remains to be seen, but it definitely made for an interesting WrestleMania moment.
