The former WWE star Brock Lesnar is currently a free-agent. AEW have been targetting the free agents to sign and huge names like Daniel Bryan and recently CM Punk’s name popped up.
Brock Lesnar to AEW as well?
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that AEW had four big names in their radar. Malakai Black, whom they recently signed and Daniel Bryan were on radar, along with CM Punk and Andrade El Idolo, another star who recently joined the company as well. So there could be a possibility that now AEW would be eyeing to bag the signings of Punk and Bryan and who knows could well be Lesnar as well.
“In May, I was told that there four signings, two somewhat big and two huge. None of them were signed, but there was confidence that they would be signed. I knew two of them were Aleister Black and [Bryan] Danielson. I knew they were two that were being talked to that AEW really wanted. The other two were Punk and Andrade. I was pretty sure it was Punk, his name had been floated around and fit the category. As far as guys who fit the category who are also available and as far as giant names, there aren’t a lot who are free agents, I mean, who is there who is going to wrestler — these are going to be wrestlers, and I mean, it’s like CM Punk, Dave Bautista, Brock Lesnar. I knew it wasn’t going to be Dave Bautista, because he’s in Hollywood.”
We will have to see which huge stars AEW signs next.
