Brock Lesnar Match At Elimination Chamber Revealed?

Brock Lesnar was once penciled in to face Drew McIntyre at WWE Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia, though plans may have changed after Roman Reigns missing Day 1 led to creative changes. Another match pitched for Brock at the PPV was him teaming up with the Viking Raiders against Roman Reigns and the Usos, originally a Day 1 idea months back. Billi Bhatti reported this rumor on The Dirty Sheets podcast.

WWE star Sami Zayn recently decided to re-sign with WWE when he was put in storylines with big names like Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. His best friend Kevin Owens also signed a new contract. Even though Owens re-signing with the company was announced publicly, there was no such statement for Zayn. The former Intercontinental Champion recently opened up on his silence about his contractual status with the company, revealing that he had chosen to stay. It was speculated that Zayn would be leaving WWE for AEW.

Sami Zayn decided to sign after he was put in major storylines

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently revealed that Sami Zayn had re-signed with WWE a long time back. A few weeks ago, Zayn faced Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship and was involved in a brief story with Brock Lesnar. That was when he decided to stick with WWE:

”Zayn (Rami Sebei, 37) signed a multi-year new contract. This actually took place back the same time Owens signed and we noted that the locker room talk was that he signed. Unlike with Owens, it wasn’t confirmed by company sources past other wrestlers. But the signing coincided with when they had him start working with Lesnar and Reigns on Smackdown,” said Meltzer.

Zayn had originally signed a three-year WWE contract in 2018, which was modified a bit due to time off for surgery. He was said to be “kind of private” about his contract negotiations with WWE, but the company made it clear that they wanted to retain him and they reached a new deal. There was also a talk within AEW of that company being interested in Zayn if he would leave WWE. Even ROH was also reportedly willing to rope in Zayn back before they went on a hiatus.
