Brock Lesnar Missed Smackdown For Bad Reason

‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar made his triumphant re-debut back into the world of sports entertainment when he surprised the WWE universe by coming back at WWE SummerSlam last weekend. However, fans were equally surprised to see that Lesnar was not on WWE SmackDown this week, although he was mentioned several times by name. Brock Lesnar’s huge new WWE contract recently leaked.

The reason for this absence is a simple one: bad creative, as WWE is planning to build out the feud between Lesnar and current WWE Universal Champion – ‘The Head of the Table’ Roman Reigns. During SmackDown tonight, fans tuned in to see Finn Balor and not Lesnar confront Reigns. Balor would challenge ‘The Tribal Chief’ to a championship match on next week’s SmackDown before the scene turned into a brawl between The Bloodline of Roman Reigns & The Usos and Finn Balor & The Street Profits.

PW Insider is reporting that WWE plan for Balor to have a Universal Championship match against Reigns at WWE’s upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event while Lesnar will either be scheduled to face Reigns at either Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia next month or at Survivor Series in November.

In other news regarding Brock Lesnar, the former WWE Champion was given some serious praise by a former rival. During a recent interview with GiveMeSports, Samoa Joe complimented that athleticism of Lesnar. Lesnar and Samoa Joe took on each other during the 2017 WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view event. “For Brock, an incredible athlete,” said Samoa Joe. “Probably one of the most incredible athletes I’ve been in the ring with. Kurt [Angle] being among that pantheon of guys with next level strength and reflex and ability. When he goes out, he wants to be in a fight and wants to be wild and rowdy. I’m more than willing to provide that for him. There is good sychonisty there.”
