The opening segment of this week’s episode of Raw saw Braun Strowman interrupting a battle royal and then taking over the show by refusing to leave the ring.
The segment ended with Stephanie McMahon managing to convince Strowman by agreeing to his demand of a rematch for the Universal Championship, but the date for this match was not announced.
During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about this rematch and revealed that he has been told that this match will not take place at WrestleMania.
Furthermore, he revealed that Brock Lesnar will not be wrestling at the upcoming Tables Ladders and Chairs PPV so this bout won’t take place at this PPV either.
While Meltzer did not explain when this bout may actually happen, the most likely destination for it appears to be the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV next year.
