The former WWE star Brock Lesnar has been away since enduring the loss at WrestleMania 38. It is reported that he is scheduled to return for Money In The Bank, which takes place in July. It turns out that the one-half of the WWE RAW Tag-Team Champions Riddle wants a match with ‘The Beast Incarnate.’
Riddle expresses his desire to face Brock Lesnar
Riddle had previously noted in an interview last year that he promised the former WWE Champion that he would stop calling out Lesnar publicly. While speaking with Catch Club, ‘The Original Bro’ was asked about his dream opponent in the main event of WrestleMania and he went on to name some huge stars WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Brock Lesnar.
“I mean the obvious answer is Brock Lesnar. You know I’ve been wanting that guy for a minute, but he didn’t want me, but now we were kinda like this. I might be able to get in there now. I don’t know if I will like the outcome of the match.”
The interviewer brought up him wrestling Lesnar in the Elimination Chamber match at this year’s event in Saudi Arabia for the WWE Title. Riddle received an F5 by Lesnar and was eliminated.
“I had a little taste. You know things didn’t go according to plan. I think everyone would agree with that. Brock broke out of his pod and did what Brock does. Nobody was ready for him and he came in and he Brocked us. I would like that match when the time is right and the build is right.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE will have four big shows starting in July, and they will need credible opponents for Roman Reigns. He said that given the lack of top card stars, WWE could go back to the programming of Reigns and Lesnar as the duo could reignite their rivalry once again. We will have to see when Lesnar decides to make his much-awaited return.
