On this week’s edition of the extremely successful WWE post-show, Talking Smack Paul Heyman laid out a monster challenge on behalf of his current client – the current WWE Universal Champion and ‘Head of the Table’ Roman Reigns. Heyman would stated that he issuing an open challenge during next week’s edition of WWE Smackdown and that anyone can step up to challenge Roman Reigns. This has lead numerous members of the WWE Universe to guess who will step up to the challenge next week as fans issued their own guesses over on The Exposed Turnbuckle Facebook page. One fan stated: “My hope would be that it would Keith Lee but that definitely ain’t happening’ while another fan speculated ‘I can’t wait for Dominik Mysterio to show up’. Other popular guesses included current WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Edge, who Reigns defeated in a triple threat match along with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37. Kross has been widely rumored to make a WWE main roster appearance sooner rather than later.
However it was the page itself that really put forth the most ambitious prediction out there by suggestion it could very well be ‘The Beast’ himself Brock Lesnar. Lesnar has not been seen on WWE television since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WWE WrestleMania 36 a year ago. While none of these names are confirmed and everything is strictly speculative – it certainly makes WWE Smackdown next week must watch television to see who will possibly show up to take on ‘The Tribal Chief’.
